Rhubarb, Rhubarb, Rhubarb.

Getting lazy with the camera but did take this one earlier today. 
Also getting very lazy about the allotment although there isn't much time for it with all of the other activities going on. However, we do have our vegetable plot at the side of our house where the Rhubarb has been going berserk.
Decided we'd better do something about it so that we have a stock for during the winter for crumbles and pies etc. Pulled all of it off the crown and chopped it up to put stewed Rhubarb into the freezer. The three plastic boxes have the first lot that was microwaved and we finished up with 9 such boxes of stewed, and unsweetened, Rhubarb!
Good job we all like it but although I could eat it as it is I think I'm going to have to put a lot of sweetener in it when we come to use it.

We do have another Rhubarb plant, Champagne variety, which is naturally much sweeter so we'll use that up to the winter.
