Incredible Half

Pre-warning; today's post contains a bit of a rant hahaha.

Staying today in Lille, France - really nice place; well worth visiting.
Went to see the cathedral; parts of the building (as you can see in the photo) were absolutely fantastic; both architecturally and artistically.
The other half of the cathedral was filled with, let's be honest, crap!
It drives me nuts when incredible and historical, buildings etc, are 'modernised' with the artistic equivalent of kindergarten finger painting!
If you want to have a modern art museum, go for it; just don't put out of place nonsense, into an historic building, thinking it's a good idea.
