What Have They Done?

That was my office for 8 years!

Last night I got word from somebody that I know he had finally got the hard copies of his book ....... he is an excellent photographer with a special interest in Russian and Ukraine.

So SWMBO and I took the monsters into town so I could collect my copy.
Rather than going by train we went by tram.
We were going to go to the park & ride at the airport until we found out it was £9 a head.
So we went to Hermiston Gait and got an all day unlimited ticket (which gets you on the bus as well) for a family for £8.50.
How can they justify the price hike if you go from the airport?
It smacks of 'fleecing the tourists and business traveller'.
I left the others at the museum and headed off to Summerhall where Simon has his office.

When I was handed the book (signed of course) it smacked of quality.
I am part way through it and my initial feeling has not changed.

After I rejoined the others and it was time to start heading home they had a look at Greyfriars Bobby (why do people insist on rubbing his nose? - it seems to be a fairly new thing but is ruining the statue) and then we got on a bus to Princes Street.
Okay, it was only 3 or 4 stops but the kids were rather tired and it meant that we really did get full value from or tickets.
It was then a sandwich for lunch in BHS (which is looking really tired and worn) before getting the tram back to the car and home.

It was a good day.
