Guilty as charged!

The pair of them very rarely get into trouble. They are both really very good dogs and anxious to please and Tom hardly ever, almost never, raises his voice to tell them off.
But, to their shock and horror, he did today!
What did they do, nothing really terrible, just barked at the top of their voices at the post lady. Bud has been getting worse recently and tries his best to scare the poor lady away., Poppy has never bothered much in the past but Bud's enthusiasm for racing round and round the hall barking like mad whenever he hears the slightest noise that could possibly be the poor post lady has infected even her. Today it just got a bit too much, so here they are sitting, in amazement, on the settee wondering what on earth they have done.

This afternoon we had a very civilised, almost dog free time at the Coul House Hotel in Contin, drinking tea and eating sandwiches with their crusts cut off. (extra photo) A friend was celebrating her 70th birthday in style. Such a beautiful house in a gorgeous garden so it was very enjoyable, but I did wish they had handed out the cut off crusts in doggy bags as I know who would have eaten those.
