Common Blue

Common perhaps, but it's the first time I've ever seen one.

I was standing in the kitchen doorway, listening to the sound of someone nearby repeatedly revving what I think was the outboard motor of a dinghy and wishing I had a gun, when through the cloud of smoke that was blowing across the garden I caught a little flash of blue.

I managed to catch up with him when he came down to drink from this clover flower, but I didn't dare get too close - luckily I had the 70-300 on the camera, and managed a few shots that were sharp enough to crop. You can see from his size relative to the clover that he was pretty small, so even though this isn't a macro shot I think I can probably justify tagging it for Tiny Tuesday. I hope so, anyway!
