TinyTuesday - Tamron AF 70-300

Question: What do you do when your Tamron AF 70-300 Tele-Macro lens packs up?
It developed a fault last year which the experts put down to a common occurrence with this lens – the strip connector to the aperture control gives up and crashes the camera when you go to take a photo and the aperture closes down. Cost of parts pennies, cost of labour somewhere near the cost of a new lens!
Answer to the question – well you take it to bits don’t you – nothing to lose and I’ve haven’t seen inside a lens of this nature before.
Result – offending strip cable disconnected and the now obsolete parts removed; lens now functioning as a totally manual fixed aperture Tele Macro.
Blip – the tiny parts removed, just to prove it still works. Very short DoF as shown between the main shot and the extra.
(ps - don't believe the lens bits in the exif - it's lying!)
