Budding Lucifer

A full day of planning in the office. Looking ahead to the liaison meeting with Area Conveners next week; checking on the recruitment campaign and our Thunderclap; preparing for the audit committee at the end of the month; our Board meeting in early September. We were also considering the recent calls for increased professionalism in the hearings system and how we might bolster and improve the current arrangements.

All of that made for interesting, detailed and animated discussions. But not for a great blip.

So as things hot up (unlike the weather) this crocosmia - or montbretia as I used to know it- seemed appropriate. Our orange variety is still to bud up but this variety - Lucifer - flowers earlier.
