This has been this year's Jo Malone-funded project. Not as special as the Herb Garden, it has to be said, but it has improved the look of the summerhouse which was let down by the scruffiness of the area in front..

Went out for afternoon tea at the Botanics after work with my colleagues - the first of several celebrations of my turning 60. I'm actually feeling OK about it - there are a number of consolations, such as the free bus pass, a bit of pension and ticket concessions.
