Helping

Today I have been a very helpful little collie.

This morning Ann said, ‘Molly, I’m going to a funeral today and I don’t know how long I’m going to be, so I have arranged for your very lovely dog sitter, Christian, to look after you.’

I love it when Christian looks after me so I was all happy & excited.  I was so happy & excited that I didn’t even bother to go ballistic at two buses that I saw on my morning walk.  I don’t like buses.  Not going ballistic at buses helped Ann ‘cos I just walked properly on my walk.

And then Christian came to get me and took me for another walk and I was very well behaved again.  That helped Christian.

I went back to Christian’s house and he had a coffee & biscuits.  Helping Christian to eat biscuits was a very, very, very, helpful thing for me to do.  And then I had a wee on the lawn.  Wee-ing on the lawn is helpful because it keeps the lawn watered!  Even though there’s probably a yellow patch there now.

And then Christian washed his car and I didn’t even attempt to get all wet & soggy.  I just lay sensibly on the drive in ‘good dog mode’ so when Ann came to pick me up, Christian reported back that I’d been a very well behaved little collie.

..............And then Ann took me for a little stroll around town and I was in ‘perfect pooch’ mode again.

...................BUT............... now Ann is wondering why I can’t be a ‘perfect pooch’ all the time???
