flower power...

...and a very cool little coffee shop Myrtle Ivy is named for the grandmother of owner Chris and so suited to this little street which I discovered by chance today houses the flower markets of Perth!

Last year The Driving Miss Daily team trundled by for several weeks and only this morning with some time to spare, need for a coffee and a wander did I stumble across florist suppliers and flower packed cool rooms.
Florist Cecile told me that the market has been here for decades and supplies locally grown flowers, others from within Australia, imported from Asia and yes out of season roses from.....Kenya!!
Now that was another surprise for the day.
