Helix

The 1930s university boat-houses on the Thames (or Isis) have lots of interesting detailing. I love their solid and empty shapes and have tried to photograph them several times but it's too easy to get a picture overcrowded with features and very hard to decide what to cut out. Anyway, this morning before work I took advantage of our last forecast sun for days and headed down the river to see if I could find an angle.

Great being out in the sun and the wind, listening to the dip of oars in the water.
