The Mersey bridge is progressing  with work on the caisons completed on the middle one, ready for the topworks. This is the Manchester ship canal bank being prepared for the bridge works. Two bridge supports have been completed further up towards the expressway and the earthworks for the ramps are coming on, both sides of the river.
