Seventh Wonder

The impressive Chichén Itzá archaeological site has been named as one of the Seven Wonders of the Modern World. 

It was pretty impressive walking round the relic of Mayan civilisation this morning. A definite must see on the Yucatan Peninsula even in the mind blowing heat of the day! I've never been so glad to see the odd cloud before. We followed this after lunch by a cool refreshing plunge into the gin clear waters of the Ik Kil sinkhole, which went to a depth of 60m, deep in the jungle. It was stunning and an amazing day.
