Wasp's Nest

While hunting for an errant ball on hole #6 last Monday, I came across a beautiful wasp's nest that was (like most things - raspberries, turtles, clouds for example) far more absorbing than the game. I took the camera along on our practice round for today to get a few pictures and was struck again by the elegance of the construction and the beautiful textures of the nest wall which I've tried to illustrate in this shot. Two of the home owners (it's a collective) posed for me most obligingly as well.
