A Great Black

A few weeks ago, I posted an image of what I thought was a Great Black Wasp, but after seeing this one today, and confirming that it is a Great Black, I know that the other one was not.  The size of this creature really gets your attention.  I saw several of them as I walked along the Potomac River from Roosevelt Island to the Memorial Bridge this morning after seeing the twins off at the airport.  We had such fun with them and really miss them already.
