Azulejos do Macau

A day out in China's other Special Administrative Region, Macau.  

In places this former Portuguese enclave looks like, well, Portugal. Colonial buildings, tranquil squares & ceramic tiles that wouldn't look out of place in a town in the Algarve.

Nowadays, it's tower blocks and casinos that dominate the landscape here, including the garish Grand Lisboa. 

Las Vegas this is not. Not yet anyway...
