Howdy

Uneventful day. The kind I really like. Get the job done then take a nice walk. Walked somewhere different today. Down a dead end road in Redding California.

Saw the normal birds, three horses, four goats and a dozen wild turkeys. 

The smoke from the fires could be seen on 300 miles of Interstate 5 today. Sadly a firefighter lost his life. Sigh...

Listening to a Fire Commander and besides the normal no campfires, no outdoor burning, etc the one that caught me off guard was no horses in the back country with horse shoes on. It seems if the metal shoe hits a rock just right it will spark and possible start a fire. They are taking every precaution they can.
