Copper-Bottomed

As it warmed up nicely this afternoon, I thought I'd have a go at doing the first Butterfly Survey for the area we've signed up for on our local recreation ground. I wasn't wildly optimistic, and at first there seemed to be nothing around, then I came across a little hotspot where there were several Whites - Large and Small, a Ringlet, a Meadow Brown, a Small Skipper and, a first for this year, this Small Copper.
