If you want pink box offices, at a certain point you have to get your paint roller out and paint them.

Preparations for the opening of the major Edinburgh Festivals this coming week, but already various Festival events are happening. Such as the "Food Festival" in George Square that we visited this lunchtime. Nice to feel a bit of an outdoor vibe, and it was great that it wasn't (and still isn't) raining as had been announced in the forecast.

Before we arrived at the Festival we popped into a new cafe on South Bridge, part of the Surgeon's Hall complex (see extra). Good coffee/tea and scones/traybakes.
