Someone Else's Flowers
In our last place, we were one of a number of village gardens which collectively opened to the public. There was always a lot of anxiety involved with also much satisfaction. Everyone who came was grateful for the opportunity to visit and thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Significant sums were raised for charity. It felt good.
These gardens were open today though not our old one. This was an opportunity to visit old friends and to see how their gardens had come on. Wonderfully well. There were a few complaints about the weather but everyone understands things are a little late this year. But it has been excellent for eryngiums. I'll add that to the list.
My current garden is a lot way from reaching the standard of public opening. Relatives and understanding friends only so far.
