Norah under the Southern Cross

Well I think I got my wish today about getting some Broome weather.  It was definitely a shorts and T-shirt kind of day.  My car said it was 29C but according to the bureau it only got to about 27 or so.  I wonder if that is a record temperature for August.

I met a nice chap taking this shot.  I think he was a caretaker of the lighthouse keepers cottages which you can see on the right here.   He shone his torch at me as he saw the light of the camera and wondered what it was.  He then apologised profusely and said he hoped he hadn't ruined my shot.
