Day 1 (ish) of holiday.

Emergency optician appointment.
Overcrowded train to York.
Disappointing lunch surrounded by posh and faux posh people in York for the races.
First Class train to Edimbra.
30mins into journey, train broke down and we all had to get off at Darlington.
Rugby scrum to get 2 train loads of people and luggage onto another train.
Crew decide that keeping passengers well feed and full of free alcohol is the best option.
Met by the wonderful S in Betty.
Pizza, Burmese kittens, gin.
Sleeping on the floor next to the fridge.
