Celebration

It was a big days today, because grandma and grandpa were coming to the summer house. They rarely do, because of the long drive. Anyway, since it was grandpa's day today, mum decided to raise the flag. That always makes hime happy.

They arrived safely, and guess who was super happy to see them? Me! I ran around in circles and jumped into the car to say hello. It was a sunny day, so everyone enjoyed the smörgåsbord outside, I got some egg and a prawn so I was happy. I had a full day's work after that, keeping track of all three of them. Grandpa especially needs looking after. I would have loved some cake, but it was chocolate so it was a no go. We waved them off after a great day.

In the evening, our German summer neighbour G came around to say hello, without her two dogs. I barked myself absolutely silly, and mum thought it was very embarrassing. After a while, however, I had calmed down, and mum asked if G wanted to see our dancing routine. G is a ballet teacher, and does a lot of work with her dogs (hence the most well behaved dogs award). It went very well, says mum, despite the intruder standing right next to us. And she liked it!

Mum wishes I would guard our turf a little less vigorously. She doesn't fully understand the importance of what I am doing.
