Oban

We drove further north today through torrential rain and  skies as dark as night but as we approached Oban the light appeared and then sunshine !

This shot is taken overlooking Ganavan beach and out to the isles. This evening totally blue skies appeared but as the evening drew on the temperature dropped and it was strange seeing people walk the sea front in winter coats and even woolly hats in August.

We have a lovely room overlooking Oban Bay for the next 2 nights. We can almost touch the Calymac Ferry as it goes past.
