Copacabana Walk

Went for a walk along the front today where they were about to do a full two test of the triathlon events for next year's Olympics. Everything has been set up to replicate how it will be on the day and real races are happening with a gathering of athletes from around the world many of whom will take part in the day. Part of the front is used as the raised starting platform and so they have built this addional walkway to allow pedestrians to walk along the iconic bay without interruption. Quite a novelty.

Had a very pleasant coffee morning which turned into lunch at the home of Briocarioca and also lent a hand with some furniture and appliance moving in the absence of HH who is still in hospital. Dd, who is also incapacitated at the moment, had a friend in most of the day in Barcelona but is still finding basic things a handful when she is in her own.
