Dig the City

There are two Dig the City happenings going on at the moment in Manchester.

One is the construction of the second city crossing for metrolink, which combined with other redevelopment going on around it creates a lot of noise and disruption, and not the best experience when visiting the city centre. It will be a great improvement when it is all finished ........

The other is the annual event celebating community gardening, with lots of small show gardens. A lot of work, a lot of love and care and attention to detail, and a lot of sudden greenery at the heart of the city centre. It really is a fun event, one I always like visiting.

The blip is the Chorlton Postbox Cafe garden created by blipper Tommy0161 - who I said hello too. It's got a lot of detail, an excellent little garden.

The extra is the Incredible Edible Salford garden on New Cathedral St.
