Market

Portobello Market, Edinburgh style. The stalls in Brighton Park this morning. The regular monthly market, organised by the PEDAL - Portobello Transition Town group. Went along to take a couple of pictures of the Art Walk Porty stall - part of the promotional campaign for the event next month, bringing to people's attention. Took a few pictures of some of the other stalls. Still think it's a shame it's a little out of the way, and not front and centre, on the High Street. I expect there are all sorts of practical reasons that wouldn't work, but hard not to compare with Parisian street markets that seem much more a part of regular shopping habits, rather than a bit of a special interest event, slightly tucked away. Still, everything needs to start somewhere so I'll choose to think positively about it.
