Soak Up the Sun

Wednesday was an absolutely perfect June day. A bit cooler than it has been lately, almost no humidity, bright sunshine, nary a cloud, and refreshing breezes. It was like a slice of heaven. Everywhere I went, people were smiling; it was a day that made you glad to be alive.

Several lovely duckling families have been hanging out around the duck pond on campus (I captured a duckling flotilla there in one of last week's blips), and I seized an opportunity between meetings to pay them a quick visit.

There were several sizes of ducklings, and they were all just bursting with energy and personality. They were doing the things ducklings do best: running all around at top speed, darting like bumblebees, swimming and chasing each other on the little pond, napping in a pile, and soaking up the sun.
