Our new view

So finally having removed some ivy clad stumps on the far side of the stream at the end of the garden, we can reveal our new view across the valley to the ancient woodland at the other side.  We have waited a long time to do this and we are delighted with the result.  This was taken from our sitting room but is also the view from our bedroom.  

The two trees we cut down were rotten through so it was only a matter of time before they fell over.  You can see a pile of wood on the left hand side.  We will use what we can in our stove, the rest we will burn outside or let rot away.
