A dull day today which got steadily worse. I had to go to Oban and noticed my old friend 'Red Princess' up on the shore at Loch Feochan, loading timber. I have Blipped this before so she was relegated to today's extra!

Unfortunately the rain was even heavier when I got home, so opened the kitchen window and grabbed a picture of this Echium pininana, self sown under the window in the angle of wall and gravel. It's missed flowering this year, so I'll expect a tall blue spike next year, if I'm still here to see it!

I think there must have been one there before as there's a host of seedlings down there too - I must pot them up and take them with me when I retire! Whenever that is! We're in the process of buying a wee hoose in Oban in case I need to get out of here in a hurry!

Sorry about the small picture - my camera somehow set itself to the smallest size! I'm off to London tomorrow for a week plus, so I hope to Blip from a few different places.
