A sunny day in Finstown

We cycled up Hobbister and along the Bloomfield Road and hence to Finstown.  This is CMC surveying the bay.   We even managed to find a new batch of butteries at Baikies Stores.  The very same butteries that recently won a silver medal in Glasgow.  And we bought a bonus of some well-fired flakey biscuits.  We sheltered from a heavy downpour in Finstown before heading home up past Heddle Quarry and on to the Germiston Road. 

We are going to the opening night of the Stromness Film Festival tonight.  Don’t forget that you’ll not be able to book a band this weekend because between Friday and Saturday there are 11 weddings in Orkney.  All bands will be very busy.
