I'm walkin' on ...

I always thought the saying was "Walking on egg shells" meaning to gently deal with a delicate situation. Turns out the saying is "Tread on eggs" meaning to walk gingerly, as if walking over eggs, which are easily broken. Oh well, it's still a tricky situation.
