Sunshine and showers

The lads had enjoyed their hard days walking in "glorious sunshine" while we enjoyed sunshine and heavy showers in Appleby.. They had reached Patterdale with a two mile detour by "a previously undiscovered route"! Had they really lost 3stones in sweat or really been in a sauna the whole day?
