Yucca

Next doors front garden has a beautiful yucca plant that blooms wonderfully every year.  It always starts flowering the first week of Wimbledon and our neighbour is very proud of her flower spikes. This year instead of the 2 or 3 spikes that it normally throws out, it produced 5! So proud was she of them that she asked me to take some photos so that she could have a reminder.

During the second week of Wimbledon there was a bit of high wind and one of the flower spikes came down but she stood it in a bucket of water on the patio as a cut flower, it was nearly 5 feet tall with the most beautiful bell shaped flowers.
