Corner dairy

An institution of my childhood, the corner dairy.

There are fewer of them today. More supermarkets, petrol stations expanding into selling ice creams and groceries, and longer retail hours have all impacted to reduce the number of dairies.

And if you wonder what I'm talking about, try Milk Bar or Drug Store instead :-)

I hit the wall at work today, about midday I felt like a basketball with a puncture. There wan't any omph in my legs as I biked home and bringing the washing in was a chore.

But I have examined all my usual weather and mountain websites, and I reckon we've got an ok chance of climbing Mt Somers on Sunday. If not, we'll traverse the south face. Either way there will plenty of ice to negotiate.
