Getting braver

There's a beautiful black cat who visits my garden. I did shoo her off the top of the bird table yesterday but she returned this morning. She's looking very thin and I suspect she may be a stray.

I don't think it's a good idea to encourage cats by feeding them but this one has been rooting through the neighbours bins and getting more scrawny by the day. I daren't "adopt" her as Sparkie wouldn't tolerate her, and I am a little cautious in getting her to depend on me for food as I do go away rather often. But this morning, I gave her some food.

When I collected the plate and came back in, I glanced through the kitchen window and saw that the jay was back. Peanut fancier extraordinaire, I think there may be babies close. But this big one is getting braver.
