Where has all the water gone?

I got myself a Fitbit. It all started during our trip in spring when I learned that my phone could track my steps. Thought that was kind of cool so I began to notice. Gradually I warmed up to the idea of knowing how much walking I had done. I wondered about the time, quite a bit of it, when I didn't have my phone with me. I am not of the generation that has their phone attached to their hand. So mine is often in my purse while I am around and about doing stuff. So I decided to get a wearable step counter. Did a minute amount of research and ordered a Fitbit Charge HD from Amazon. It arrived today.

Of course that meant I had to take a walk. I hadn't for quite some time because Arvin exercises and walks at his groups and is not in the mood to do the same when he arrives home. Since I hang out with him when he gets home that meant I didn't walk much. But today I did. I walked my usual circuit through Whatcom Falls Park. The level of the water running down Whatcom Creek is so low. I do realize we are in a draught but it was still surprising just how low the flow was.

As a result I was able to walk right up on top of Whatcom Falls and look back at the bridge. That is where I took this photograph. The falls are spilling down at the bottom left of the photo. I've never been able to go to this spot before. And there was plenty of room too. No danger of falling. Quite an experience. So I had to blip this photo today. I liked the mono version best so here it is. This one really does look best in the large version.
