Sorry we're closed!

I've wanted to visit Sefton Park in Merseyside for quite some time...as the Palm House there is quite something apparently.

So today was the day..........we followed Sally sat nav she took us straight there. We got to some big black gates, but they were padlocked, so we walked around the perimeter fence, eventually asking a chap walking his dog how to find the main entrance. His directions sent us retracing our steps.....back to the big locked gates some 30 minutes later, but this time, there was an employee stood on the inside who informed us " sorry folks iwe are closed today for urgent maintenance!" Just our luck....I won't tell you want I said ;-)

So this shot is of the Palm House through its main entrance gates......it does look lovely, guess we'll be going back again, some time soon, hopefully!

Daughter worked her last day in her job for the last 13 years, new venture starting Monday. Think she's looking forward to the new challenge :-)

We are off quizzing tonight.........fingers crossed ;-)
