The View From Here

Flying into the busy part of the Season...school's almost out and Summer's around the corner! Woo Hoo!!

It was a fast turn over today as guests left this morning and honeymooners are here tonight! I found myself standing with my camera...imagine that...and viewing things from a different perspective from over by the bunk beds, looking into the living room and dining room. Do you see the blue tumblers upside down in the far (dining room) window? Those are the creative solution of our last guests, to get some natural light, as the smooth functioning fancy blinds decided they don't want to go up and down right now. Clever of them, really! We'll be on to a solution as soon as possible.

On the far wall is a tin sign with a picture of Dorothy and Toto from the Wizard of Oz and the caption, "Toto, I have a feeling we're not in Kansas anymore". Nothing could be more fitting as our vacationing guests take a step out of the daily grind and into 'time stands still' kinds of R & R. Sounds heavenly, doesn't it!

Oh! And while I'm giving a tour, I should mention that the flowers under the window were from our wedding! We should always put a bit of ourselves into everything we do, don't you think? My sweet contraptioneer built the drift wood cabinet in the far right corner of the dining room, to hold the bottles and bits of things found on the property during excavation of the stone paths and water fall.

I guess that's all the show and tell for now! I'm having too much fun...
