Gilded Lilly

I bought a new lens today. It's the final replacement piece of equipment covered by my insurance when I was robbed just about 1 year ago. The standard medium focal f4 telephoto; the Nikkor 300mm. What I found while giving it a test run with my D3 was that it will focus quite nicely at just a little over a meter. This is the result of messing around while sitting on the front porch and swinging it towards something nearby after shooting long shots and distant birds feeding at my feeder. This one just looked cool. Yes, a bit of Topaz treatment, but not much.
