The Taxpayers Money . . .

has been spent on a Police tractor.  This tractor painted in police colours visited school this afternoon.  There was some debate among the staff about the cost of it and the point of it.  We were told it was for publicity purposes such as raising an awareness of rural crime and promoting discussions among rural communities.  The children lined up for a turn to sit in the cab which would be a first for most of them.  When I discussed it with a class of seven year olds they were quite sure it was going to be used to chase bad people across paddocks because the police car might get stuck.
