Irrigation for the Peanuts

Visited my 97 year old great aunt today and on their farm was this beautiful field of peanuts. This is the large irrigation contraption that they used before we started getting rain. I went out there to pick up some corn to put in the freezer. Ended up with 43 ears of corn stored for the year ahead.

In the south we love Boiled Peanuts and here's a recipe for the Cajun Style.
SOUTHERN CAJUN BOILED PEANUTS
Ingredients
? 5 pounds raw peanuts, in shells
? 3/4 cup salt
? 1 1/4 cups dill pickle slices, with brine
? 5 small jalapeno peppers, sliced
? 5 tablespoons dry crab boil (such as Zatarain's® Crab and Shrimp Boil)

Directions
1. Place peanuts, salt, pickles with brine, jalapenos, and crab boil in a large pot. Pour in water to cover the peanuts; stir to combine. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, and cook until soft, at least 4 hours, adding water as needed to keep peanuts covered. Scoop peanuts out of the pot with a slotted spoon and serve hot.
