Garden Round Up
The garden has been dead for almost a month now. But Bob and I are still in our routine of "checking the garden" whenever we are outside. Today, he collected the tags from most of our veggies. I have arranged them in order of success - Great at the Top, Marginal in the Middle, Failed at the bottom.
GREAT
Green beans
Tomatoes
Rainbow Chard (this survived being eaten into oblivion by the ground hog & actually came back)
Jalapenos
Rosemary
(Not pictured: Basil & Cilantro grown from seeds, Oregano which grew in to a big bush)
MARGINAL
Green Peppers
Crookneck Squash
Pumpkins
Cantaloupe
(Not pictured: Watermelon & Zucchini - the squash were infected with squash borers, so we had poor production & the melons were eaten & trampled by deer - a very sad sight indeed)
FAILED
Red & Yellow Peppers
Tomato Cages (they all buckled under the weight of the plants)
