Getting back on track.
Thank you to everyone for your kind words of encouragement, I've said it before and I'll say it again, it means a lot to me to have your support.
My surgery seems to have been a success and a return to dog walking duties last week signalled that I am well on the road to recovery. I've been morphine free for about three days now which is a real milestone, I had been on it since early May.
I had my op on the morning of 18th July, I was back in my room by 1pm and eating by 3pm, wonderful! Pam had her tea with me and then headed home, unfortunately she was to spend the night in A&E and the SAU (surgical assessment unit) a place I used to spend time almost every month for some two years. Anyway Pam was quite poorly but was able to go home the next morning, she is now having further tests. So it turned out that we were both in hospital the same night but some twelve miles apart. As per usual we are taking care of each other.
I'm sure you'll understand when I say that there hasn't been much time for Blip :-)
