Light and litter

Took a little detour down these steps on my way to work this morning, in search of a photo.  I took a few looking across to the Barbican Centre, but then was drawn to this scene as I headed back up the stairs.  I know it's just a grotty set of steps with some rubbish on, but it's strangely beautiful to me, mostly thanks to the light.

Had a bit of a stressy day at work.  Lots of annoying things popping up all day - but managed to bat most of them away by the end of the day.  One good thing today was that my friend Sarah came back to work after being in the States for a few weeks - was good to see her again, and have lunch at the Barbican with her and Char  :)
