Hoverflies

Today the weather was a lot drier and the sun shone , so after work I took a trip out to Chambers wood again hope on the outside chance to come across the purple emperor but no sign of hardly any butterflies. I spotted a few hoverflies around this thistle head I have included another shot of 2 side by side and also a very fresh looking Gatekeeper.
