Last Day Of Sophomore Year
Today was the last day of 10th grade...
I went to school extra early with Elaina. The walkway leading to the school was covered in inspirational little sayings drawn in chalk. In homeroom, we took a picture with everyone and we did the same in English (pictured above). In orchestra, I signed yearbooks and took a lot of pictures. That was one of the toughest classes of the day. I signed yearbooks all through chemistry and went to Five Guys for lunch with Brandon and Tom for the last time. I brought Chris back some lunch as a last day of school gift. During bio we finally had the AP Bio vs. College Chem Olympics. The first event was the tug-o'-war. We went outside and the AP Bio team won both times! Then we had an egg relay race. Kaitlin dropped the egg so we lost but that's okay. The sudden death event was an egg toss. Mike the Man-gician and LSBean were our competitors, while Kaleigh and Tara competed for College Chem. After many tense tosses, the College Chem egg cracked a little and broke the next time Kaleigh caught it. AP BIO WON!!! In Euro, more yearbooks and some fake studying for the Global Regents. In gym, I signed more yearbooks (I'm sensing a trend here...) and Kate came to visit. I sat in the back corner of the Italian room with the coffee clutch for the last time during ninth period and I signed Peter and Audrey's yearbooks. After school, I went to Mr. A's room with a few people and just hung out for a bit. Then I tutored for a long time and did everything but chem at a chem review.
Tenth grade was trying and tiring, but I wouldn't trade my experience for the world. I met some really great people this year and became even better friends with people I met last year. I've had mixed feelings about the seniors this year, but I know that I'm going to miss them next year. They were real, honest people and the world could use more people like them. I wish them all the best of luck in the future and I hope that they come back to visit often.
