Capturing my Journey

Perched

A bit of heart in mouth sheepdog work this morning bringing in the hebridean sheep come mountain goats. The little rascals have never tried this trick on us before. God I love this dog. Breagh is only 4 years old but has had a mature head since the very beginning. I had to send her away to my right and round the back of this pinnacle to come in behind these sheep. Bit scary at this point as a slip and she could be seriously injured. But she calmly moved the big lot off above and came in behind these two clinging to the side. It took some work but we got all the sheep into the fank and shedded (separated) off the lambs and then stood the ewes in a big open pen to dry for a couple of hours before the shearers arrived.

They remained dry and we got them all in and clipped apart from 10 saved for a special clip tomorrow with a German film crew wanting to film it. After crogging (catching and bringing sheep to the 3 shearers) I am pretty tired now. So pleased to have them clipped.

11c 10.7 mph NW sunshine all day here!
