Rochdale Canal

I got to Manchester first thing this morning earlier than intended, so had a 20 minute walk before arriving at my destination. I had noticed one of those blip challenges (low with a wide angle) so decided to have a quick go.

This is the Rochdale Canal, the distant bridge carries Oxford Road over it. The Canal travels under the impressive St James building, so what looks solid at street level suddenly is not from the Canal. Just beyond the building water cascades from a lock on the other side - which always looks a bit bizarre.
