Maeve the Deerhound
17.1C with plenty of sunny spells. More cloud later. Light breeze.
Apothecary7's day off. Knowing that there would be a road closure and another awkward lot of roadworks on the way into Dundee we decided we would have a morning in Broughty Ferry for a change.
We started with tea/coffee in Caffe Nero followed by a visit to the Oxfam shop where we picked up a stoneware 'pig' (hot water bottle) for a bargain price (it is destined to become a doorstop for Apothecary7's studio), and a book each. Then we took the car to park near the castle and had a walk with Maeve the Deerhound ... along the shore then back round through the town. We visited the M&S Simply Food before we came home. Our first "Dine in for Two" for a while.
When we got home Maeve went out into her garden and has been there ever since. I fed and watered all the plants in pots, in and out of the greenhouse. Apothecary7 is painting to get in practise for her summer school in Ullapool which isn't far away.
Today's shot is for Wide Angle Wednesday, on the theme of Low. I was down some steps by one of the piers in Broughty Ferry to get a shot across the water towards the castle ... and when I turned to come back up who should be looking over the edge but Maeve the Deerhound. Blip !
